Saifi Institute is active primarily in teaching non-Arabs, and Arabs who grew up overseas, to communicate easily in Arabic countries.  In addition Saifi is involved in developing the grammar, vocabulary and spelling for the Lebanese dialect to be taught in a coherent and systematic curriculum.  A dialect based literacy program for Arabic speakers, based on Saifi's proven Pragmatic Arabic curriculum, is also under development.

Saifi was opened in 2008 by Rana Dirani and now has a staff of three full time teachers, and several part time teachers.  Saifi Institute for Arabic Language is registered with the Lebanese Ministry of Finance, and operates according to labor and intellectual property laws in Lebanon.

Taxi (“Service”) directions:

Tell the driver “Saifi” next to “Beyt al-Kta’ib”. When you arrive at “Beyt al-Kta’ib” on the main Dowra highway look for the store “Valli & Valli” on the same side of the street. Saifi Institute is that building on the third floor.

Walk from Gemayze:

From Paul’s Cafe walk on the main highway towards the port (ocean) for 200 meters until you reach a T. Cross the highway (careful!) and turn right. Walk 100 meters and look for the “Valli & Valli” store. Saifi Institute is in that building on the third floor
