Information and Application

Saifi Institute Urban Arabic scholarships

Saifi Institute scholarships have been designed to promote deeper intercultural awareness and understanding between foreign students and the people of the Arab world. They offer dedicated students of Arabic the opportunity to learn the vernacular Arabic of the Levant in situ. By studying in Lebanon, students can immerse themselves in the language and culture of an Arab country and speak Urban Arabic on a daily basis.

Saifi Institute Urban Arabic curriculum teaches the Arabic mother tongue used in the streets, homes, and businesses of Levantine cities. Saifi’s method is highly effective because we teach Urban Arabic like a recognized, official language using the Arabic script. We take a structured approach to teaching grammar, reading and writing which ensures students can translate and write progressively advanced texts as they learn to speak. The language we teach enables students to communicate in Lebanon, and in many of the surrounding countries (Jordan, Syria, and Palestine).
